Nepal falling in the lap of Himalayas has at all times been a holy center for culture and religious practices. Especially, Kathmandu as well as its side-line has numerous meditation caves, stupas and monasteries linked with Bodhisattvas, Buddha and Shiddhas. We will have sightseeing of the Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will visit the Boudhanath Stupa, biggest stupa of the world. There you can notice an air of spirituality and feel the high-mindedness of Buddhist culture. At Pashupatinath temple, we will visit Tilopa and Naropa caves of Pashupatinath and the oldest Buddhist city in Patan. You will also drive to the Swayambhunath Stupa which is the 2000 year older Buddhist shrine at top a small hill. We will visit Maratika cave positioned at 200 km east of Kathmandu. It is one among the six most vital Buddhist holy sites.

In Lumbini you will get to go arounda variety of Buddhist monasteries like- Chinese, Nepalese, Thai etc. We will also visit the holygarden widening over 8 sq. km.  Likewise, we will go around Kudan (Nigrodharma) where King Suddhodhana, father of Lord Buddha convened with Buddha after he achieves enlightenment.

Besides,just above the hill in Bhaktapur lays the Milarepa Cave where Milarepa meditated. It is also identified as Bagishwari Saraswati Sthan. In addition, we will also drive to Namobuddha. It is believed to be put up over the leftover of Bodhisattva who gave up himself to give food to starved mother tigress as well as her cubs. Namobuddha also bestows panoramic sight of the Himalayas. And, Pharping is the set where Guru Padmashambhava achieved enlightenment. There are two main grottos blessed by Padmasambhava.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and shift to hotel 

As soon as you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received and greeted by the airport representative from Third Eye Adventure. After completing the formalities at the airport, you will transfer to the hotel. You will enjoy an evening dinner at typical Nepali restaurant and enjoy your choice of food. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Buddhist sites of Kathmandu
On this day we will have sightseeing of the Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will visit the Boudhanath Stupa, biggest stupa of the world. There you can notice an air of spirituality and feel the high-mindedness of Buddhist culture. There are shops all around the stupa selling Buddhist objects. You will then drive to the Pashupati Nath temple to visit Tilopa and Naropa caves of Pashupatinath and the oldest Buddhist city in Patan. You will also drive to the Swayambhunath Stupa which is the 2000 year older Buddhist shrine at top a small hill.

Day 03: Visit Maratika Cave, Halesi
Today we will visit Maratika cave positioned at 200 km east of Kathmandu. It is one among the six most vital Buddhist holy sites. Here Buddha Amitabha educated eighteen lifelong Tantras. The Dakini Sangwa Yeshe documented and put this wisdom out of sight as Terma at Maratika. Later Guru Padmasambhava took these teachings and practiced for ninety days and then Buddha Amitayus came into view in the sky and gave commencement to the Guru and Mandarava. Then we will return back to Kathmandu.

Day 04: Drive to Lumbini
In Lumbini you will get to go arounda variety of Buddhist monasteries like- Chinese, Nepalese, Thai etc. We will also visit the holygarden widening over 8 sq. km and go around the arresting Mayadevi temple lying to the west, the Ashoka Pillar, as a mark of visit of Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC. We can also notice the pond Puskarni lying to the south of the Pillar where Queen Mayadevi had a bath just prior to giving birth to the Buddha. Also, we will get to see the ruins of Kapilavastu fortress which has been exposed 27 km west of Lumbini. We will to Ramgram Stupa, the only Stupa which still hangs on to Buddha leftover in its unharmed form. Likewise, we will go around Kudan (Nigrodharma) where King Suddhodhana, father of Lord Buddha convened with Buddha after he achieves enlightenment. Overnight in Lumbini.

Day 06: Drive or Fly back to Kathmandu
On this day, we will drive or fly back to Kathmandu from Lumbini. We will relax or go for some shopping in Thamel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 07: To Bhaktapur and Visit to Milarepa Cave and Namobuddha
After breakfast, we will today drive to Bhaktapur located 17 km from Kathmandu. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is an ideal place to witness the splendor days of the territory of Bhaktapur. The entry to the golden gate which is bedecked by carvings devoted to different Hindu Gods is another appealing part. Bhaktapur has countless medieval memorials like the Nyatapola, a five storey temple. Just above the hill in Bhaktapur lays the Milarepa Cave where Milarepa meditated. It is also identified as Bagishwari Saraswati Sthan. Besides, we will also drive to Namobuddha. Day 09: Visit Padmasambhava’s Asura Cave Pharping
Today, we will get the chance to be captivated by sunrise over the range of Himalayas seen from Dhulikhel. After breakfast, we will then drive to Pharping lying to the south of Kathmandu. Pharping is the set where Guru Padmashambhava achieved enlightenment. There are two main grottos blessed by Padmasambhava. We will then drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Departure
On this day, you will leave Kathmandu to your own country.
