Off Beaten Path Home Stay Trek (10 days)

Being different than regular route trek this trekking would be the best who want to explore real Nepali culture. During the trek you can experience different casts daily life and up and down with stunning view of Mt. Ganesh Himal, Mt Manaslu , Mt. SinghaChuli, Annapurna range and other mountains.

Even it is a part of Manaslu region; we escape from its route and enjoy the hilly surroundings with home stay where you can practice cooking food yourself in the wood fire kitchen by sharing your ideas as well. Itinerary Detail

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu.

You will be picked up from airport and drive to the hotel. Have a rest and roam around the Thamel.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.

Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley (Buddhanath, Pashupatinath, Patan Durbar Square and Swambhnath Stupa) with professional tour guide then after evening you will have meeting with Trekking guide who will support you for trekking preparation.

Day 03: Drive to Arughat by bus about 6 hours.

Early morning we drive to Arughat about 6 hours drive by half paved road and half off road mostly up and down. After reaching Arughat Bazaar will have rest and visit around small business city which is second biggest city of Gorakha after Gorakha bazaar.

Day 04: Trek to Lapudanda about 4 hours.

Our first day of trek we follow the Budhigandaki river, cross many village with different inhabitants and small bazaar. After having lunch at Arkhet bazaar we steeply climb up to Lapudanda village. On the way we can see some mountain ranges as well. Stay at Lapudanda at village style cottage and enjoy with purly home made food.

Day 05: Trek to Kashigaon about 6 hours

Today we walk toward Kashigaon passing through big village Manbu where you can experience local wine making by some tribes. There are many micro hydros as well which can be observed and we climb steeply up through Jungle and cliff near by the village we encounter big landslide area as well. During the trek can enjoy the hilly landscape and different flora and faunas Stay overnight in Kashigaon which is beautiful thick village mostly houses has wooden roof.

 Day 05: Trek to Machha Khola about 5 hours

After breakfast, we walk all the way down via farms and jungle. Machha khola is the route of Manasalu circuit and Tsum valley trek and camp as well. Enjoy the cliffy place with the sounds of river and its surroundings.

Day 06: Trek to Gumda village about 5 hours

We gradually climb up to Gumda after breakfast, passing through jungle and some thin village. Gumda is a huge village of Gurung habitant it is on the lap of the hill and could see stunning mountain range of Ganesh Himal and Manasalu.

Day 07: Trek to Laprak about 5 hours

Head to Laprak village another bigger village than Gumda. The trail goes again gradually up through farm and Kharkas and some small villages. On the way could see stunning mountains as well as herd of sheep and goat as per the season. Enjoy the evening at Laprak village with its culture where more one thousand houses in this village.

Day 08: Trek to Barpak about 6 hours.

After local breakfast we hike up to another awesome village Barpak. The trail goes steeply up with excellent views around through Jungle. Barpak Village is situated on the ridge of hill which is looks like traditional bee hive. This village has its own glimpse where you can see very thick houses in one place.

Day 09: Trek to Baluwa about 5 hours.

Today we head all the way down to Baluwa till Daraudi River. After crossing Daraudi river we follow straight way to Baluwa where can find local bus stop and small bazaar. It is a beautiful place to stay with the sound of river.

Day 10: Drive to Gorkha about 5 hours

Today we take local bus to go to Gorkha the old heritage place from there Nepal was united by King Prithvi Narayan Shah. We can see old palace as well as very famous Hindu Temple Kalika beside the palace which is situated on hills. In the city there is a museum of all old palace materials.

Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu about 6 hours

Riding a local bus or van to Kathmandu we follow curve roads up and down

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is one of the essential parts to craft before you travel so that you shall be protected against wide-ranging expenses likely to gain due to health issues or accidents which include helicopter rescue, air ambulance, treatment costs etc.

Accommodations 
There are two sorts of accommodations during the trek. You will stay two nights in Kathmandu in a 3-star hotel while during your trek you will stay in typical teahouse or lodge or guest house or hotel with unheated rooms with foam mattresses in wood beds. We make available attached bathrooms as much as feasible; still there are some places which can only offer shared washing and bathroom facilities.

Meals 
During the trek, you can get pleasure from typical Nepali cookery, diverse cultural cuisines as well as international food including Tibetan, Italian, Continental, Indian, etc. You will have your breakfast at the same teahouse or lodge where you spent your night while lunch will be dished up en-route to destination; and dinner will be served at the place where you will spend the night.

Equipments necessary for your trek:
1) Fro head and face-Sun hat or scarf, Sunglasses with UV protection cream 
2) Upper Body: - T-shirts, Light expedition thermal tops, pullover or Fleece jacket, Fleece Wind-Cheater jacket, Waterproof shell jacket 
3) Lower Body: - Under Garments, Lightweight cotton long pants, Hiking shorts, Light and trip weight thermal bottoms, Waterproof (if possible breathable fabric), Fleece or wool pants (seasonal),
4) Feet: - Thin inner socks, Thick warm woolen socks, Camp shoes (sneakers or sandals), Hiking boots, Gaiters for hiking to the base camp in winter
5) Hands: - Heavyweight gloves or mittens, Lightweight gloves, 
6) Accessories: - Sleeping bag, Headlamp with spare bulbs and batteries, Trekking Bags, Basic First Aid Kit, Trekking Poles, Water bottles, Toiletries 
7) Extras/Luxuries – Binoculars, book, Guide book, Journal & Pen, Walkman etc

Acclimatization 
High altitude sickness is likely to occur. The fraction dispersion of hemoglobin with oxygen resolves the substance of oxygen in our blood. When we reach around 2,100 m high above sea level the diffusion of oxyhemoglobin begins to drop. Nevertheless, the human being has both.
